Megan Phillips joined Lone Peak Physical Therapy in 2018 after recently moving to Montana. As a military kid, she has lived around the world, but had been in San Diego, CA for the last 15 years. She graduated from San Diego State University in 2007 where she studied Kinesiology. She then attended the University of St. Augustine in San Marcos, CA in 2009 where she received her doctorate in physical therapy. After graduation, she began her career at a sports and orthopedics clinic where she got the experience of working with athletes including professional rugby players.
In 2011, she received her certification in Manual Therapy (MTC) from the University of St. Augustine. Her next career stop took her to a hospital-based outpatient clinic where she treated patients with a variety of conditions, including post-operative, orthopedic, neurological and pelvic health disorders. In 2013 she became certified to teach yoga and taught hot yoga for several years. She has learned to appreciate the restorative and strengthening qualities of yoga and loves to incorporate it into her physical therapy practice. She has also received her certification as a Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner specializing in Women’s Health and prenatal and postpartum rehabilitation.
In her spare time, Megan can be found enjoying her new home in Bozeman with her husband (a Kalispell native) and their two young boys- River and Hunter. She is a former soccer player and an avid sports fan. She also enjoys hiking, skiing, yoga, and pilates. She can’t wait to discover all that the Gallatin Valley has to offer!
